Sarasota Stands to Gain International Luster

PINC Sarasota, which will be held early next month at Florida Studio Theatre, is being touted as a celebration of “People, Ideas, Nature and Creativity” that will bring international storytellers to Sarasota for the first time.

Anand Pallegar, founder of Sarasota-based At Large Inc., says it will be “an interactive experience about sharing and building ideas.”

Begun in Holland 15 years ago, PINC has doubled in size since its debut.

Local tourism, community and education boosters -- including sponsors Visit Sarasota County, the Gulf Coast Community Foundation and the Ringling College of Art and Design -- say the event, similar to popular TED Talks, should have wide appeal locally.
