Join Us for a Hurricane Block Party, Supply Drive and Fundraiser
Relax, enjoy food and drink from local businesses and donate supplies or funds to our neighbors in need.
DreamLarge will host a block party, supply drive and fundraiser in the Rosemary District on Saturday.
In the wake of the destruction caused by Hurricanes Helene and Milton, we’re here to share, engage and give back. DreamLarge, Sarasota Magazine’s parent company, is hosting a free block party, supply drive and fundraiser in the Rosemary District at Overtown Square, 1386 Boulevard of the Arts, between Fifth Way and Boulevard of the Arts in downtown Sarasota, from 2 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19.
Attendees are invited to relax, enjoy food and drink from local businesses, take in some live music, and donate supplies and funds to help our neighbors in need. Suggested items include non-perishable, unopened food items; cleaning supplies like bleach, Lysol and cleaning rags; trash bags, plastic bins and packing supplies; and other needed items like dehumidifiers, bug spray and batteries. They’ll be given to the Center on Anna Maria Island to distribute to those on the barrier islands.
Proceeds from the event will go to Gulf Coast Community Foundation’s Rapid Response Fund, which was launched to support the community when a natural disaster impacts the area. The event is free, but registrations are requested—for more information and to sign up to attend, click here.
